The Thixomolding Process

Unlike conventional die casting, Thixomolding transforms magnesium chips into high-performance precision components through a semi-solid molding process.

Feeding Material

Room-temperature magnesium alloy chips are fed into a heated barrel.

Creating the Thixotropic State

As the screw turns, mechanical shearing and precisely controlled heat transform the magnesium into a semi-solid, "slush-like" state.

High-Precision Injection

The semi-solid metal is injected at high velocity into a pre-heated die mold.
